Recordati’s Isturisa for Cushing’s Disease Available Through AnovoRx

Recordati Rare Diseases (Recordati) recently announced that positive results from the Phase III LINC-4 study of Isturisa® have been presented at the Endocrine Society’s annual meeting.

Findings from LINC-4, the first Phase III study in patients with Cushing’s disease to include an upfront, double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled period, demonstrate that Isturisa® provides rapid and sustained normalization of mean urinary free cortisol (mUFC) levels.

This represents an important treatment goal that can reduce morbidity, improve quality of life and restore the life expectancy of patients with Cushing’s disease towards that of the general population.

In June 2020, Isturisa (osilodrostat) oral treatment for Cushing’s disease patients became fully available to be sold and distributed across the United States.

The medication is available exclusively through the R.A.R.E. (Recordati, Access, Resources, and Engagement) Patient Support Program, which not only will distribute Isturisa to patients, but will offer insurance benefit investigations, educational references, resources for financial aid, and more.

The R.A.R.E. Program was created in partnership with AnovoRx, a specialty pharmacy that focuses on providing medical treatments to patients with rare and chronic diseases.

AnovoRx was created in 2012 by executives with significant experience in the specialty pharmacy and biopharmaceutical industry. Four of the five AnovoRx founders were instrumental in the creation and growth of Accredo Health.

AnovoRx was launched with an updated array of services, where patients and health care providers deal directly with dedicated pharmacists and customer care staff who are focused on being the patients’, physicians’ and pharmaceutical companies’ premier source for customized treatment and support programs that address the unique needs of patients with certain complex, costly and chronic diseases.
