Telehealth and Virtual Prescribing Platform Company UpScriptHealth Growing

UpScriptHealth™ is a comprehensive, direct-to-consumer telehealth and virtual prescribing platform that is innovating the way customers get the medications they need.

UpScriptHealth has been innovating telehealth for over 20 years and remains committed to improving the lives of consumers by providing immediate and long-term convenient access to medical therapies.

UpScriptHealth allows pharmaceutical companies to sell their products directly to consumers through its technology platform and provider network. The company is expanding the number of pharmaceutical and medical device companies it works with.

In 2022, EVERSANA™ and UpScriptHealth, announced a strategic partnership to create a direct-to-patient platform that will transform the patient experience to help accelerate access to therapies worldwide.

Evoke Pharma, through its wide-scale commercialization partnership with EVERSANA, plans to launch a telehealth solution for patients. The new Direct-to-Patient Technology Solution will leverage EVERSANA’s partnership with UpScriptHealth. The program allows patients who don’t have regular access to care due to their remote location, lack of transportation, affordability, or work schedule to access care via a telehealth option.

UpScriptHealth’s telehealth solution provides access to care from a licensed board-certified healthcare provider when it is convenient, generally a same-day appointment with a healthcare provider. This may allow for more rapid consultation and potentially treatment initiation within just a few days, if medically appropriate.

In 2021, Emmaus Life Sciences announced a partnership with UpScript IP Holdings, LLC. (UpScript), to offer telehealth solutions to sickle cell disease patients, expanding access to Endari®, Emmaus’ prescription L-glutamine oral powder for the treatment of sickle cell disease.

Also in 2021, UpScriptHealth hired former Teledoc executive Dr. Richard Boxer, as its chief medical officer. Boxer served as Teledoc’s original CMO and as a finalist for U.S. Surgeon General in 1997 and 2001 under former presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush.
