Specialty Pharmacy DirectRx Earns Accreditation from URAC, ACHC, and WBENC

DirectRx is dedicated to providing patients with unparalleled, personalized pharmaceutical care. Unlike other pharmacies, DirectRx is owned and operated by certified doctors of pharmacy.

As a family-owned business, the company has grown to serve 49 states since its inception more than three decades ago. Investments in technology help to provide clients with accurate, timely orders.

DirectRx’s centralized pharmacy model allows it to effectively provide telephonic collaboration and education. Patient care coordinators, patient education team, and pharmacists are extensively trained on remote care.

DirectRx is the first pharmacy to offer doctors a patient scorecard so that adherence issues can be identified early on and appropriate intervention can be accomplished.

After receiving URAC and its first ACHC accreditation in 2015, DirectRx recently announced it has once again received the Specialty Pharmacy (SRX) accreditation by the ACHC. Additionally, DirectRx has earned re-certification from the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).

DirectRx was recently approved by the State of Michigan’s Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) board to offer its own pharmacy technician training program and certification exam.

An applicant can receive free training through DirectRx in preparation to take the company’s own pharmacy technician exam. By becoming a certified pharmacy technician, the opportunities for growth within the company significantly expand.

Takeaway: DirectRx is one of the few independent, specialty pharmacies to have achieved and maintained all three accreditations
