Accenture Helps Orexo Launch vorvida in The U.S.

Accenture’s INTIENT Patient solution helps companies provide better services that improve patient outcomes. Accenture’s INTIENT Patient offers end-to-end capabilities to help companies shift from their product-focused services to digitally-enabled, intelligent solutions that deliver a better, more coordinated patient experience.

Accenture recently worked with the U.S. subsidiary of Swedish pharmaceutical company Orexo to launch its first digital therapeutic, vorvida®, for patients in the United States dealing with problematic alcohol use. vorvida® is a web-based digital platform that uses the INTIENT™ Patient solution suite, which is powered by Google Cloud, to enable secure patient interactions and connectivity to an ecosystem of third-party health care services.
A critical aspect to providing this population with a new treatment option was creating a digital solution that could immediately connect patients with health care services and scale to support the portfolio of Orexo’s future digital therapies, such as the ones for depression and opioid abuse.

Accenture serves clients in three geographic markets: North America, Europe and Growth Markets (Asia Pacific, Latin America, Africa and the Middle East). The geographic markets bring together capabilities from across the organization in Strategy & Consulting, Interactive, Technology and Operations to deliver value to its clients.

The Life Sciences division, part of Accenture’s newly-formed Products Industry Group, helps pharmaceutical, biotech, medical technology, distributor and consumer health companies combine the latest technology with scientific breakthroughs to revolutionize how medical treatments are discovered, developed and delivered to patients around the world.

Accenture also recently acquired Paris-based OpusLine, one of the leading consulting companies that provides strategic advisory and transformational services to public- and private-sector healthcare providers as well as life sciences and insurance companies in France.
Following the acquisition of OpusLine, Accenture would be better positioned to provide health industry clients with the latest innovations in areas such as data analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) and support the health ecosystem with highly differentiated services.

Takeaway: Accenture is working to infuse digital skills and industry and functional expertise throughout the company
