Maxor Specialty Pharmacy Reorganizes

Maxor National Pharmacy Services (Maxor) is a leading pharmacy operations and pharmacy benefit management company. Maxor recently introduced the new name of its Specialty business unit, Maxor Specialty Pharmacy, which unites the former Maxor Specialty, IVSolutions, and Pharmaceutical Specialties pharmacies. Maxor Specialty Pharmacy’s new name is effective May 1, 2020.

Maxor Specialty Pharmacy has provided specialty pharmacy and home infusion therapy services since 1986, addressing patient care with a personalized high-touch approach of managing specialized and complex conditions with high service levels to both patients and providers.

Maxor Specialty Pharmacy has a focus on pulmonary disease, while taking a total patient therapy management approach to caring for people with Cystic Fibrosis (CF). The approximately 4,000 CF patients under Maxor’s care in 2018 accounted for more than half of Maxor Specialty’s revenues.

Maxor’s contract specialty pharmacies provide specialty pharmaceuticals for therapies in respiratory and other complex disease states. Maxor is a provider for many limited distribution medications, including all products indicated for Cystic Fibrosis. Maxor has three URAC and ACHC accredited pharmacies that are part of the agreement located in Amarillo, Texas; Bogart, Georgia and Lubbock, Texas.

Maxor also recently signed an agreement with Acentrus Specialty to provide health system clients contract and backup pharmacy services to expand access to specialty medications for its health system clients..
