The Specialty Pharmacy Landscape continues to rapidly evolving and affect all healthcare stakeholders.

Innovations in biologics and specialty medications are beginning to enter the market at a rapid pace as the pharmaceutical research pipeline continues to grow. While specialty drugs are quite effective in decreasing the debilitating effects of diseases, they are usually much more costly than traditional drugs.

Specialty pharmacies have recently generated confusion in the market. Specialty pharmacies are in an integral position within the specialty drug channel. True specialty pharmacies take care of patients with chronic, complex illnesses and serious health conditions such as cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, Hepatitis C, multiple sclerosis and bleeding disorders, among others.
